J.V.B Landscape and Design was founded by Landscape Architect Jude van Brandenburg in 2015. He is a dedicated residential landscape architect located in Queenstown. Jude brings a unique blend of local expertise with his knowledge and various past projects in alpine landscape design.

Jude’s journey to becoming a contemporary landscape architect began in his own backyard. Growing up in Queenstown, their family home was built in stages, surrounded by a bare construction site. During weekends and holidays, Jude and his family would work together to transform this site into an inspirational garden, igniting Jude’s passion for landscape design. During a gap year, Jude worked for a local landscape company as well as travelled to Europe to visit famous gardens. This is where he met with Anthony Paul, a renowned garden designer in London. Years later, after completing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Diploma in Product Design, Jude reunited with Anthony to further his knowledge of garden design. While working in the UK Jude undertook postgraduate diploma in Garden Design at Kew Gardens to specialise residential garden design.

Inspired, Jude returned to New Zealand to start his own Landscape and Design practise. His international experience and his studies at Kew Gardens bring a global perspective to his work. This blend of local knowledge and international expertise allows him to tackle a diverse range of projects from boutique residential to high-end luxury properties.
