PROCESS

Every design project is initiated with a site visit and client meeting to formulate a design brief. This is to gain a greater understanding of site requirements and how best to connect to the client with the property.

The design process begins with diagrammatic sketches – through to building a digital 3D model of the garden to best demonstrate hardscape surface materials and structural planting with the client.

Developed design and planting plans follow to be used by landscape contractors for pricing and implementation..

STYLE

Alongside structural planting - the style Jude is passionate about is mass planting of ornamental grasses and herbaceous perennials. He believes the use of a restrained plant palette creates a bold impact which compliments contemporary architecture.

Jude also sees the use of water as an important aspect of his design philosophy, whether a water feature, waterfall or large ponds to reflect the surrounding landscape. Water has a way of creating energy and atmosphere and act as a focal point to a garden.
